In lieu of the live recording and re-broadcasting of the parade this year
which were part of the fiscal year budget reductions, the City of Modesto will be engaging
its citizens by providing the opportunity to submit photos of the Celebration of Lights parade.
Photo entries will be used to create a slideshow of the 2011 Celebration of Lights Parade which
will be available for viewing on the City of Modesto’s website and will also be broadcast on the
AccessModesto Government Channel (Channel 7 for Modesto Comcast Cable subscribers and Channel
19 for Charter Cable subscribers throughout Stanislaus County). The Celebration of Lights
Parade will take place on Saturday, December 3 and the deadline to submit photos will be Wednesday,
December 7. Photos can be submitted by emailing them to:
celebrationoflights@modestogov.com.
The slideshow will be available at www.modestogov.com and on the
AccessModesto Government Channel no later than Wednesday, December 14.
